In games of 24/48 hours you are expelled after 48 hours of inactivity.
I can only play this type of game and I believe it is right that if one does not play for 48 hours he is sent off, at least the others can play, also because if you cannot make the move you could still connect at least with the phone and simply press finish. turn, not even doing that in my opinion, out of respect for those who want to play deserves the expulsion

A lot can happen in particularly lengthy games. If the game lasts literal weeks or months, and you missed a mere 48 hours due to a variety of possible circumstances, it is not reasonable that you were kicked. Many of these turns entail the management of thousands of troops across so many different fronts, they could be taking an hour out of your day each day. A huge investment over the course of months just for a sudden boot.

It's not as though we're talking about a week-long game that one person is slogging down for two days. We're talking two days out of an otherwise 30, 40, 50, 60, maybe 90 day long game.

I've taken year-long, or multi-year-long, breaks from Atwar on multiple occasions due to exactly this happening. Games that, even against terrible odds I had turned around and was enjoying my slow march to a grand victory that I fought for over the course of 38 days, to just poof and go to the other player because I missed one turn, is incredibly deflating. And when it occurs, it takes a remarkable amount of time before I feel like returning. Hence my oh-so late response. And it sucks, because I love playing this game and developing scenarios. It would be an easy quality-of-life fix.

This one never got much traction I see.

Look, every 2nd or 3rd general election. Okay... I get it, sure I'll go along. BUT really EVERY Election year, another coalition government leading a European country?

Bad idea , not only it will mess up with the balance but if u want to make whole world defacto borders u will have to change a lot of others all the time like sudan congo serbia georgia etc

This has been requested for years. I think the new ownership (Dave) will take care of it as soon as he can.

In the meantime, the common courtesy is for the host to not build on Turn 1. I usually do not in the interest of sportsmanship, and I've been playing almost exclusively casual for 5 years.

Years later it is not fixed and seems atwars players play casual more now. What about making the hold game button work in casual for the 12 - 48 hours?

The world has CHANGED.

Ukraine lost 20% of its own LAND. Russia OWNS Crimrea. Russia OWNS Luhansk. Russia OWNS the coastline.

It is OUTRAGEOUS that the world map has not been updated already. Peace negotiations are ALMOST DONE. These borders are obviously NOT changing.

This proposal should be expedited because it is hurting the dignity of millions of Russians who play this game.

Bots could partially solve the horrible problem of being an hour deep in a game just for it to be derailed by a huge player quitting because they needed to go to sleep or something.

Also bots are much easier to learn on than vicious Atwar players.

That being said it would probably be much easier to create an entirely new overhaul of the game and add an AI to it than try to make the AI actually work in the current game.

Can we just rewrite Atwar from scratch and trick people into thinking its a new game not a 15 year old game
