On behalf of the Game Meta team I'm announcing a few updates which have just gone live:

Buildings Changes:
  • Fortifications now cost 1400 (previously was 700)
  • Recruitment Centers now cost 1000 (previously was 700)
  • Radar Arrays now cost 300 (previously was 700)
  • Anti-Aircraft Defenses now cost 1000 (previously was 700)


Strategy Changes:
  • Relentless Attack buff -- Bombers cost lowered by 10
  • Sky Menace buff -- Air Transports capacity increased by 1
  • Master of Stealth buff (or nerf? I'm not sure which you would consider this) -- Infantry defense lowered by 1, but cost also lowered by 10.


We're still working on new strategies to try, we'll keep you posted about that...

Love the SM change, about time we brought that strat back. Should see more play and some new cheaper expansions with this change.

Yet I cannot wrap my head about how the same reasoning for +1 capacity is the same for giving IF millis +1 range. But nah bro, being able to wall and switch milis between Nel and Belgium is gonna suddenly make IF the best strat in the game

Yes because MOS is not meant to be a super defensive strategy. So 7 defense isn't necessarily needed to fit the definition of the strategy. We had originally made changes to make the strategy more useful in Eu+ 3v3 games. Currently MOS is very strong in Eurasia and world games so there was no need to buff marines. But since we saw not many people playing in 3v3 we figured we could make infantry 50 cost which would enable it to be played in west and east more effectively in Europe. Since 60 cost is normally too expensive for most countries.

You kidding, right? That's a straight up buff.


How so. You've weakened the strats opening expansion capabilities and brought the stats/gameplay closer to the style of great combinator. Yes your marines are invisible but they lack the offensive kick of gc tanks. Similarly the infantry lack the defensive abilities of the gc infantry. The option to expand with naked infantry is gone. You wouldn't do that now unless youd no choice as it would be a very inefficient use of reins.

The original idea of the MoS changes was to bring the strat to smaller maps - allow it to better cope in close combat situations. Why would I ever use that strat now over GC? Weaker defense, offense and expansion contesting. Stealth has limited use when you're right beside your opponent.

The strat has been restored to it's previous lonely niche.

This isn't a big deal though. At least we now have an admin/implementor team that aren't afraid to tweak things around.
