Default world map, i think it would make games more interesting, like this we need like 10t to get from JPN to California and other way around, i think modern ships and planes r faster from that, i think 5 t would be more realistic and make games more interesting, or option on map, faster and slower games

SM would be better than PD due to the extremely high range.

This will make all the short range strategies like IF become obsolete in favour of SM.
GC will also become obsolete due to SM being a better high cost strategy.
NC will also become obsolete unless in low funds because SM just offers +5 extra range for a little extra cost (relative to that +5 range)
Blitzkrieg is already obsolete, now it doesn't even have a little more range than SM.
I doubt HW will be usable due to the low defence of tanks (ie all of the stacks have to be defended with infantry due to the fact that SM bombers can attack everywhere.
MoS might be usable in a world game but SM will simply expand faster and can cross the ocean to america in a shorter time.

Never implement this idea, or only Imp and SM will ever be used from now on

Regular duel (sk) ukr vs turk (imp)...regular expansion...regular game
but then ukraine caps turkey because air trans have 7 + range now (2+ fro sk 5+ fro upgrade) that shit will ruin comepetative and scnerios just so u can have pacific war :-)

my friend made a swastika (in real life) with tiles then destroyed it yelling here come the russians...if they add it i doubt he'll finish building it at all

What you seem to be NOT realizing is that in order to decrease the turn time it takes to cross the pacific is that you would need to increase the range of said units. Which in turn would make them far more powerful within any given continent or body of water on the world map, not just the pacific ocean. Thus you would in turn be throwing off the balance of unit movement between all units. Right now everything is fairly balanced, *ahem*, as balanced as they can be. If you change the range for said units just so one can cross an ocean as huge as the pacific in a shorter amount of turns, than you subsequently throw all unit movement range between all units into complete unbalance. The truly proper way to deal with this is called STRATEGY. Meaning players who are in a position to actually try and cross the pacific need to be playing a long game. Which translates to, you need to be planning your moves far in advance and not wait for the right moment to strike but anticipate or plan for the right moment. You already know it takes 10 turns to cross the pacific, then you need to be planning your moves 10 turns ahead, so that your troops are in position when you need them to be. This is what is called strategy. You cannot be reactive, you must be proactive. You plot, you plan and you execute. You don't wait for things to happen, you make them happen.
"UNSUPPORT!"



P.S. If we had a usable mapmaker up and running then you could create this little fantasy you have but let's stay in reality and realize that truly the default map does not, should not ever, and will not ever, need to be changed just because players feel it's unfair.

blitz should been fast tactic but not have much bigger range then others, i see yours point, but we need some kind of faster units as i see

So if you feel that we need faster units, than by all means, clone the world map and tweak it how you feel it should be. Then you can have your faster units and cross the pacific in less turns, but c'mon man, quit trying to change the status quo just because you don't like it. The really sad part is, what hinders you from creating your dreamworld is the fact that we still don't have a working map maker in HTML 5. So either you have some patience or just give this idea up. But honestly there are maps already created, world map clones, that have really tweaked units, you should check them out. Ratwar has made some pretty cool ones IMO. But I still stand on the UNSUPPORT for altering the existing default map just because you feel we need faster units.

i play all but still think world game is to slow, most official games we play on that map so....

But ggg is a custom map the speed is on purpose. Just like the tempo of world map is on pupose.
