I am sure you are only refering to UK, Spain, France, Italy and Germany with PD.

You can actually play every strat in Europe(+) I'll give you a little summary:

PD
- PD is probably the most played strat in this game, I think the main reason is because when you start this game you have 3/4 strats to pick, RA/NC/NONE/PD Most people pick PD cause it has pretty good stats.
You can actually play PD with every country in europe(+) its more about where and how you expand wisely. PD is good strat for low funding areas and also for rich areas. The person above me said dont play PD with Ukraine and Turkey, but PD is perfectly capable to play with even those countries.

NC
- NC is a strat that has powerfull destroyers with high attack and deffense, so I recommend to pick a capital which is a port, like Sweden/RNW/UK, you can also play NC with spain/france/even turkey. NC can carry to 20+ troops in 1 transport, and has great range with transports/troops/destroyers. So its good if you like to play with naval troops.

GC
- Most of the players find GC hard to play because GC is all about tanks being your attackers and infantry being your deffenders, because tanks have high attack at the cost of low deffense, infantry have high deffense at the cost of low attack. It takes some skills to actually play GC but its pretty OP when played right. GC needs alot of income so I recommand to play GC as ukraine/spain/even italy/france/poland can be possible in 1v1.

IMP
- IMP is a strat which is usefull for every country in Europe(+) you can buy cheap infantries and just play with it, is usefull for rich and poor areas. Only problem with IMP is the -1 attack all troops have. So if you play IMP, make sure to send atleast 1 or 2 infantries more than the amount you attack ( if militias) vs infantry i would recommand to sent like 70% more units?

DS
- DS is like GC not much played in Europe(+) which is a waste, DS could be usefull for lowfund countries like Poland/Ukraine/Serbia/Spain, I have even seen DS france doing pretty good. DS is all about money, you need money to buy helicopters, with helicopters you can attack and deffense. Helicopters have pretty much bonuses against most troops so its pretty good. The plus point is, that you can carry 1 marine per each helicopter, which is usefull when you attack with mostly helicopters so you dont have to buy Airtransports .

IF
- IF is mostly usefull in areas where country caps/cities are easy to reach from A to B. Since IF has the range reduce its hard to go far with IF. Also IF has no militia range at all, so you can mostly protect with militia and just WF/wall with infantry.
Good countries for IF are, UK/France/Germany/Poland/Italy sometimes, only italy kinda needs balkans in mostly all fights, so I wouldn't really recommend IF italy. but I tried and its pretty fun to play.

GW
- GW is the militia strat, your militias are basically stronger than your infantries, and not only that they are also way cheaper than infantry. GW is also all about mariners because they are pretty cheap.
GW is basically playable on all of Europe(+) in the begin you probably need to take some good income countries but after that money isnt an issue anymore.

Blitz
- Blitz has great range on all units, the only weak thing about blitz is its deffense since it has -1 deffense, it used to be -2 but now its -1 so its actually playable. To play blitz is, dont deffend to much, but attack more. Always take the countries before you cap him, because if the guy has fully reinforcements around it, he will mostly recap since the -1 deffense. So important is to take his countries first so he won't be able to sent much to recap . After all its a strat which can be played on most countries in Europe(+)

SM
- SM is slightly different than DS, SM has pretty decent stats when it comes down to bombers, bombers have great attack, deffense and range. The only thing is SM needs money quick, even when the AT's are cheaper with SM and you can carry +1 more in AT than any other strat, you will need alot of money when you play with bombers. Countries I would recommmend for SM are, Ukraine/Poland/Serbia/Sweden. Try to get in a well incomed area with also decent reinforcements.

MoS
- MoS is basically an upgraded strat than GW, only thing is this is more about infantry than GW is about militia, even though MoS infantry cost way more than GW militia, and the MoS mariners way more than the GW mariners, MoS has more range than GW. MoS also adds more place in Submarines. MoS is also pretty decent on Ukraine/Poland, even Germany/uk can be played MoS, just first turns will be hard. After the money rolls you can make your way.

RA
- To be honest I haven't played RA that much in AW at all. I used when I was low rank but I combined that with PD. RA is basically about tank spam . Tanks have great range and great attack, at the cost of weak deffense ofcourse. And the tanks are also pretty expensive so you will need some income. RA can be played with countries with lowfunds like Poland/ukraine/serbia

I didn't buy HW, so I can't tell you about that. I hope I didn't forget any strategy, hope this helped you a little bit.

I Play PD with Countries such as: UK, France, Spain, Germany, Turkey, And Ukraine. Why? Because i got all Upgrade. Also generals are good for imperialist strategy and Pd strategy. PD is most op strategy, highly deadly in close range battle. Pd worst enemy Is Gureilla warfare, Blitzkreig(super fast espansion rate), and sky menance.
