I do move from game-to-game quite a bit. But here are some all-time favourites:
What a loser. Played it for about 2 months due to a RL friend seriously pushing me to play but too much grind was involved, I just didn't dig it. On the flipside, I've played RuneScape (yes, I know) on and off since late 2005. I'm actually only combat level 75 or something on it which isn't too shabby (max is 132), but that's because I mainly try to experience gameplay rather than grind my way to the top. Most skills are around 50 though, except Dungeoneering which is a non-skill and should be removed from the premises. Seriously, it could be its own game.
Your post gave me a feel. Stronghold:Crusader was perhaps the first PC game I ever played... or well, watched my brother play it for years on end. He still never managed to beat the entirety of the Crusader trail! Also, Rise of Nations was awesome. He played that as well and I was watching, as always, until he got AoE3 and became #2 in the world with Portugal or Holland, IIRC. Even won a tournament for real-life prizes once!
Hahaha. Ever played Dwarf Fortress? Or is that the "Fortresscraft" you are referring to? I've personally been following DF long before Minecraft came to be and still read its dev log every day (thanks to RSS) but I'm just too stupid to play it (losing may be fun... as long as you know how to get started!)! I have, however, played quite a bit of Liberal Crime Squad, the author's previous game and have contributed quite a bit to the open-source version in the form of ideas. I should mention that I don't actually like Minecraft, I played it for something like 10 minutes then removed it from my computer. It feels pointless (there's no goal AT ALL) and generally slow. I don't have autistic tendencies and don't really feel like building crap for no reason. Did I mention it's still obviously a beta-quality game with hundreds of serious bugs?

I did finish Stronghold Crusader, Stronghold Crusader Warchest and Stronghold Crusader Extreme trails last year. The #2 spot was with Portugal. Me and pinheiro play almost the same games save for battlefield, I will add rise of nations and total war games except napoleon and shogun 1&2.

Lernu quoting (and Esperanton)! It's a lot better now. It's a lot easier if you're not-an-idiot and play straight off with the rifle like you should, it allows you to experience the game much better as SMG players are always at a huge disadvantage and getting 3 or 4 headshots in a row is hilarious! Climbing up a steep mountain doesn't require you to spam the spacebar either, one of my main gripes of about 2 months ago when the game was in absolute infancy. It still lacks things like a menu for changing your name so you see a lot of Deuces... but it's worth it! http://ace-spades.com/

No trollings
Please don't pretend to know me so well. Although it will probably be lost on you (since you're so far up your own rectum, you have difficulty opening your mind to anything else but shit) I don't play WoW for the game Blizzard intends us to play. Rather, a group of friends and I spend our time exploiting/exploring the hidden parts of the game, where Blizzard never intended players to go. It's a whole subculture of gaming, and we have our own forum RP-forum in which we mess around, RP, discuss new areas to explore, the latest in exploration techniques, etc. I happen to be a mod of the Royal IdP Essploring Fundation website. We're also a modder community, but only behind closed doors. Modding means changing the game files around to swap maps (for exploring unreleased content) or simply changing models or textures to make crazier stuff. So before you come out all guns a-blazing with your "lol loser grindfest hurrr durrr nationalist thread?" take a look at the forum (it's in French). Here's a list of my explorations to date: and I'm by no means the best out there either. Do I sound mad? That's because I am. Cordially, fuck you. http://www.warcraftmovies.com/movieview.php?id=187893 http://www.warcraftmovies.com/movieview.php?id=119941 http://www.warcraftmovies.com/movieview.php?id=147077

Hah. I'm actually part of that subculture to an extent, I thought you'd be like my 3 mates who are all obsessed with getting huge hits and maximising their DPS, all that shit. I like WoW for its environment and stuff but otherwise, it's pretty stale. I wandered into higher-level areas as much as I could while I played it, and, well, subsequently died as expected. I never reached level 85. But the game world is brilliant and a joy to go around in. I remember how often I tried to climb these mountains or massive hills which clearly had nothing on top of them. How many times I fallen to my death doing so. And the few successes. Good times! I don't record this exceedingly odd behaviour, but in Oblivion, for example, I sometimes put on leather armour and just went out and tried to kill wolves and shit with a crappy bow-and-arrow. I just went off and walked around a lot too so I could cover more of the local map. It was interesting and I honestly spent half the time (of well over 100 hours) doing just that in the game. I never finished it quest-wise, funnily enough. PS: I'm talking about IRL friends from 2 separate countries. I actually got another friend to play it as well, though he quit practically as quickly as I did.

I like to play Fifa on PS3 from time to time. But only with friends, as it's pretty much impossible to get a good online game going. People only play Madrid or Barcelona, and if they still manage to be 0-3 behind or something like that, they simply pull the plug to avoid a loss. Makes me wonder what's wrong with the people. After all it's just a game.

World of Warcraft - Moonglade and Defias Brotherhood. Various characters with the highest level being level 78 belf warlock who is totally Machiavellian, constantly manipulating acquaintances and playing them against one another for political advantage, unless you're his friend. He's extroverted and arrogant, always assuring his clothing is attractive and of the latest fabrics, and is charismatic. He enjoys talking to people and attending social events, and is rarely seen alone in his study; however, he is often present on the battlefield and tries to impose himself as a commander despite his complete lack of any knowledge on military tactics. His morals are very loosely followed, yet he is renowned for a gargantuan trust, often extending into naivety, for his friends and tremendous loyalty towards them. I won't go further on, of course. For those who criticise WoW, I am vehemently opposed to them as the game was what got me interested into role-playing and later writing, literature and history, which now takes up a lot of my free time.
