I couldn't read about Siege of Constantinople, becomes sad
He declared Islam in the middle of Europe, unprecedented move in history. Weird how christians, europeans tolerated him. I guess that's because christianity is peaceful and forgiving religion.
Hey i just read Metro 2033! Artyom rules o7 Did you reach the part where Artyom is hiding in the room of abandoned building? I got goosebumps And the situation Artyom got himself into in Mayakovskaya station... i wanted to throw up (just like Artyom said to Ulman when he explained what happened with that woman and her child)
One of the best books, you should read the whole trilogy: after that goes Return and Three War Comrades (i translated from my language, so idk if that's how it is translated on english from german). Return is story about German soldiers returning home in 1918 and bad situation in Germany after the war, Three War Comrades describe the 20's in Germany, failing economy, inflation, desperation, no jobs, and friends who try to stay normal and live through those times. The books are powerful classic.
