Abandoned rate above 60% could be shown in green color to indicate that player have a good sportsmanship
0-50% is now in neutral grey.
51%+ is red.
Spectacular!

OK, I went through a lot of topics on the forums and distilled out a few ideas that would be quick to implement.
Overall I am excited about the changes. "Quick to implement" gives some hope that the books are not closed on every subject, which is good to hear also.
I like solutions (1) and (2).
For solution (3), it would be well to consider that some games are large, and forming 2-3 alliances is reasonable. But in games with less than 6 players, even one alliance is too much. I suggest that allying more than 20% of the players in the game should bear an additional SP penalty (1st free of course).
Solution (4) does well to increase motivation for playing CWs, especially the double SP bonus and profile distinctions. Very nice! Minimum 50 points won/lost will definitely be enough motivation for high competence clans to continue CWing. But I am curious as to why the last 20 count instead of the first 20. I can't think of the motivation behind this, so please elaborate. You might consider that once a coalition plays more than 20 games in a season, the average is taken and multiplied by 20. This statistic is more representative of the coalition's season.
Overall, very pleased. Thanks.

After some thought over the third point, I think the size of the penalty, which ever you choose between money or SP, should also depend on the rank of the player. I personally do not have a problem with players of any rank ally fagging against me but the current solution may just further encourage higher ranks to stick together which really does not help or solve the problem for lower ranking and new players. Just something that we should be aware of. If others see this as a potential problem derived from the current solution, other possible working tweaks to the solution should be shared.
EDIT: I just remembered that we have a huge drop in skill level with the newer higher ranks so this may not even be a problem.

The logic is, instead of stropping playing CWs after hitting 20 games, coalitions can continue playing and trying to improve their first games by replacing them with the latest ones.
Your second suggestion makes sense, but I wouldn't want to overcomplicate the mechanics at this point.

Geschrieben von Guest, 01.10.2013 at 16:17 Can i ask why you have such a large amount of solo practice games? Why can't you test things in game with other people ( I know maybe not possible for all situation but most, liek tryign a new strategy) ? It says your percent is 29% (WHich is well below 50% so not close to the red text) that and you say that most of those have been from solo practice. So that means your having more solo practices then all my random map tests and games ive abandoned... and each map and scenario I've made has had probably an average of 15 each...
It's not that many, maybe 25 or so, the others being team practice or abandoned for legit reasons. It's mostly to try out 1st turn expansions with different countries. Anyway, I don't want to veer off-topic. What I was getting at, with regards to point #1, is that games abandoned when playing solo should not count. There are a few other situations where you should be able to abandon without penalty: if the host abandons because of 1st turn leavers is one that comes to mind.

OK, I went through a lot of topics on the forums and distilled out a few ideas that would be quick to implement ('quick' is the key here, as we're really tied with something else atm). Some changes are already made, others will be implemented soon.
1. Removed win/loss ratio from profiles and coalitions. Added 'games won' and 'games abandoned' (%). This should hopefully encourage people to play the game to the end or at least surrender. Note that people will still be leaving games no matter what penalties we come up with. Just focus on maps and scenarios that don't require every player to be present - then leaving won't be such a huge deal.
There's a flaw with this I think, as a scenario creator I often test my scenarios and abandon them, and I am quite sure it count for games left as well.
I know Aetius is not a leaver but has tested many of his scenarios and probably abandoned them, look here:
https://atwar-game.com/users/profile.php?user_id=220219
Solo games will no longer count in 'games played', so leaving them won't affect your 'games abandoned' stat. Also, it would now be impossible to surrender in solo games.

How can you fix secret alliance if you get rid of formal alliances? People will ally informally or formally. Also what does that mean to team games such as WWII? If you reduce sp at the end, then ally ending is going to have a small speed bump. I never really had problems with people allying everybody, because when they do that, they already giving themselves a major reduction in power, because more land = more units and money. After owning half the world, it merely become cleaning up the rest of the them.
To fix the leaving problem, i think we should deduct sp for leaving a game after you play 4 turns, maybe 1k sp. You shouldn't be allowed to leave until 15 weeks later, and each consecutive leave will increase the amount of sp lost. You could do only the first person to leave a game recieves a 5k lost to sp, and then anyone who leaves next receives no lost.

15 turns are unnecessary, 5 is fine, you could very easily lose before 15 turns in the game has passed.

Also, will the 50 minimum CP earned/lost be updated to the games that have currently taken place during this season?

I don't think 20 CWs is enough! 3 months is a VERY long time to have these CWs - to improve their win/loss ratio also.

No. In fact, we don't even count the number of abandoned games, just games played, lost and won. Right now solo games are simply not added to 'games played' stat.
