Noobs not fighting for 20+ weeks. Scares me.
Weeks?
that´s a awful lot of time...
so you fear if people suddenly starts to play complete UN games, they will play for too much time on the same game because of the restrictions?
is that what you mean?
Weeks = turns, in Afterwind weeks were turns so yeah. I mean that people sit of their asses chatting and bidding in UN games rather then fight much. They complain when they get killed by somone taht was preparing and not saving money to bid for Cyprus.
Because the actual features that the game have do not permitt the UN to have REAL impact on the gameplay, they needed to be political moderators and in the end, can´´t do much when everyone gets crazy. i think politics whould have REAL importance in the gameplay, nto just a "wannabe" theater of geopolitcs. :/
the problem is that each time i play it, i get too much sp and then UN goes rougue to get my sp.
if they implement a sp penalty, un's will stop going rougue and this will increase gameplay.
I think to UN actually work on AtWar, it need to be re-designed, either UN or AtWar.
Re-design atwar to fitt un? Bullshit.
Un's should get a sp penalty so people stop farming sp.
You don´t get the point:
In fact, as much as i love Atwar for what it is , a overhauled Risk, i recognize that its gameplay is shallow, too simple and action-packed, i think it needs more depth and content, more game-modes, more features...unfortunately it seems that you guys are too fearful of change. :/
Then go play a game that involves that stuff. Troll.

Madrox1 I suggest you try the Civilization series if you haven't already, it has many of the features you've been suggesting and there is some online multiplayer.

I maintain my position, i still think it would be best to have more gameplay diversity. Something like "mods", why not?

I like the Ideal as option for us who want a bigger challenge then just buying and moving troops. KEYWORD option, you don't have to play it if you don't want to. If we have a classic and Political option in the set up menu you can play which ever one floats you boat. Plus I don't want to see the quick fast game play of the current model to disappear but this will help to relieve the Tedious feeling I get sometimes when playing this game.

Who are you to be the spokesperson of "everyone", they can talk by themselves, you know, you are fearful of changes and i understand that, who isn´t? but there is no progress in anything without change. we will never know if it is a good idea if we do not try first.

The thing is you are suggesting too much to change and implement.
You suggested 5 different things that aren't too bad, but you have to work on them one at a time not all at once.
If something like this ever does become an option in atWar it will be after a long period of small changes.

Originally i was thinking on a entire ruleset that would be programmed, tested, balanced and implemented at once. but this kind of "gradual" changes aren´t bad either, the player would have the option to set specific aspects like "Laws" or "Taxes" like "on" or "off".
(kinda) Offtopic:
Still, if our not-so-kind-and-intelligent Skittz is right and the rejection is too great, they shoudn´be implemented at all, maybe because that kind of "they who have premium, commands AtWar" (at some extent), it is kinda of a moral and ethical debate over if only premium users and the devs should have a say on AtWar destiny.

That´s actually a good idea.
but still, i posted this topic specifically for the community and the devs to see and comment on it, if they have something to say to this, why would i have a debate with them in private? don´t you think its counter-productive to the exchange of ideas?
