I've always wondered why you couldnt open them with infantries. I actually don't really mind it but just wondering, lets see what the community thinks of it.

If one or both transports are docked it should be ...but on the other hand, how hard would be for us to work around this and not actually dock.

Ik, thats why I am wondering how the community thinks about this. Because its a small thing which can actually lead to alot of complications.

If one or both transports are docked it should be...

In this situation, it sounds a bit logic that a land unit could break its wall.
If not docked, then a land unit shouldn't be able to because:

They have a hard time swimming out to the ships, and even when they get there, most of their weapons have reduced functionality under water.

If the unit can make the attack in the game, meaning the inf can actually hit the transport without being in the water, then I think it only makes sense to treat it like any other attack/defense which would break the wall.

Logic is not implied.

Nobody gave a damn that only 8 foot soldiers guards the entire cities of london, paris, berlin and madrid. (We could assume that 1 unit consists of an entire battalion but hey)

Agreed when docked. Also I think inf sea walls should be easily broken by sea units.

Dat vote balance in something so important. Wtf guys? Are you voting no just because it was waffel who suggested it?

If the sea-units wall is docked then land units should be allowed to.

Can someone here give me a damm objective reason about why this shouldn't happen...........

Agree when docked but otherwise no, trans walls are a nice little feature, they cost a lot to make so it should cost a bit for an opponent to break them(bomber/destroyer etc).

No matter the silliness behind the illogicality of land units making sea walls ...in my opinion that's a good flaw in the mechanic that brings more strategy and isn't unfair.

But seriously sea units should be able to break them ...specially this would be a necessity on custom maps with no air units.

I think it would be interesting if bombers were able to fly over transport walls and not destroyer walls since a destroyer wall can shoot down a bomber in real life.

Agree this is where you get that two-sided feeling about it. It does add an extra difficulty on it which actually should stay because it is a part of AW.
But on the other hand like goblin said, in scenarios like Ancients where you dont have bombers, its pretty hard to actually kill them with only transports or destroyerish units.
