So, recently some strats were changed, those changes got support from majority of at-war players (17 players ) and only strat which got nerfed was blitz, blitz was nerfed because it was too op, in both lategame and rush. now let me tell you truth, blitz got nerfed because blitz ukraine was too strong for 1-2 people and it made loose very important cln wars for certain cln, so they proposed strategy changes and they were cunning enough not to open blitz cry thread, but to propose strategy changes, they proposed to buff almost useless strats (gc,hw,lb) and also nerf blitz. first they asked to return it to it's older state (-2 defence) and than (-2 defence) for militia, you made one more strat useless for competetive (and not only) play. i mean really ? blitz could only fuck up opponent's expansion turn 1 and rush him in following 3 turns, or else it would've failed, now blitz can't win in any circumstances blitz ukraine can't even defend against 60-70 imp turkey rush on turn 3, not talking about how much turk pro-s can actrually stack (100-120), the game is called at-war when you see that your current methods don't work you improve them, and make them perfect, but instead you chose easier way and nerf blitz, which was already weak and made it weaker, and now they saw Lucky Bastard (weaker than blitz) as potential blitz successor:


who needs buffed stealth-s if they don't buff units, which are used most (infantry,militia)
Now tell me how weak blitz

can compete op pd

perfect defence Infantry has 7 defence, 2 defence when in city or in defence line that makes it total 9 defence and 1 extra defence against tanks =10 defence, twice as much defence as blitz infantry, which has 5 total defence, and only 50 cost for 10 defence it's averagely paying only 5 on each defence point
pd militia has 5 defence, and 1 more defence when defending in city total 6 defence it's stronger than blitz infantry defence, and almost 4 times as strong as blitz militia defence which has ONLY 2 defence point, and cost for such op militia is only 20 - averagely paying 3,3 on each defence point.

In fact Perfect Defence outperforms blitz in almost every aspect, and still blitz gets nerfed

if you think that blitz is too op (this statement is ridiculous), than improve your gameplay not skip to full noob way and nerf it for your private amusement, I Think that mods should prioritize,Wishes of majority aw players, not wishes of their own, and their friends who use 24/7 pd and are afraid if their opponent doesn't use pd as well

i will tell you 1 single fact about how op pd is, my 98 stack with gen lost to mauzer's 45 stack with gen, mauzer won by 2 air trans 2 militia and gen. (this happened on our tournament game though.)

What we ask is to return blitz to it's former state (only -1 defence for all units) and/or blitz pd inf and mili with -1 defence.

Blitz ukr can easily beat pd turk, you yourself beat many players as blitz italy, spain, vs pd france, germany or UK
Strats as SM or RA still have advantage over pd in my opinion

how many times did you defeat his IF germany with blitz turk, and will your chance higher than >1% t odefeat his if germany with your blitz turkey ?
also you will have no chance to defeat PD germany as blitz turkey (with it's current state)

Well, admin can only see people that cry, the fact that they nerfed a strat because 10 people cried is sad, however i don't blame them, they try to do the best for the people that gives his opinion, if someone wants to return blitz to its former 'OP' state, you just have to cry more than the others

Im going to make one response to these threads and i am going to summarise the reasons for the nerf.

- blitz was originally at -2 def to all units and was still very popular, i even had it as my number 1 strat up to r8, it is very versatile and easy to play. It was changed to -1(a significant boost) without considering all the implications.

- blitz is probably the easiest strat to play with the lowest skill requirement of all the strats. Rangeskills and economisation are less important because of the huge range, players can expand fast and need to use fewer transports. It is strongest at early aggression and killing/crippling your opponent asap. The result was a skill drop evident in the newer generations of players where many just load their troops into your expansion and hope for the best. This is terrible for gameplay and not something we should be encouraging by making it so powerful.

- while blitz was originally intended to be an offensive strat(like it was historically) it suddenly became powerful defensively, the general upgrades more than substituing the loss in stats and the huge range of the militia and inf meant more could be brought to defend than any other strat. Suddenly we had a strat that was very powerful in early game agression and defense. It even became powerful in some lategame situations as we saw within the ukr vs turk dynamic. The snowballing power was unmatched.

id also like to note that you cant compare the stats of units between strats and scream that one is op. Many players significantly underestimate the value of range. In games positioning and speed are hugely important, blitz is king in this area, superior to even sm which is limited by costs. While there is an argument for a pd nerf, pd has half the range and has a higher skill requirement.

The arguments not to nerf blitz in the other thread were terrible. Ivan evidently agreed. theyre even worse here and notably being made and supported by players with blitz as their top strat(if not in the top3).

Also the blitz nerf does not affect its' turn 1 expansion stealing capabilities, nor have its' range or offensive capabilities been altered. The strat still has its' niche. Personally if i had my way the strat wouldve been nerfed harder, but this is what it is.

you saw with your eyes, if you want blitzkrieg to be realistic you have to give blitz range, buff tanks attack and also buff bomber's attack, and also you have to give it +1 defence for infantry since armour rushes enemy, and than motorized and infantry regiments hold already conquered territories, you want realism, than +1 attack for tanks +1 attack for bobmers +1 defence for infantry, seems op as fuck. real life is never balanced, we are playing online game we want things balanced and fair, so we don't want op pd pwn everything and can be defeated only by pd. we want blitz in it's former state and/or nerfing pd
-you said taht it was at -2 defence, well it clearly was sucking hard since it got buffed, it's like returning to old tb system where you can't move your gen stack for whole game...
-as you said blitz is good in surprise attacks (1st three turns) can be avoided easily by pd, and if IT even suceeds and somehow blitz player caps you, you can still retake thx to good income, low price, and op bad defence for blitz, how is that fair for blitz players bro ?

actually if you read up forum, someone else used realistic, (blitz is realistic it is strong on offensive but weak on defence), i answered if this game were on realism than blitz should get many more buffs i told in previous post, and as well provided ss as proof. you know the nerf because of someone's private crying is unfair, demands of at war players is more important than demands of 1 single person
and is calling other player noob best you could come up with ?
i can actually call you same pd noob and learn 2 counter blitz, but you instead chose nerfing it

I lost my favourite strategy too, big boohoo its only -2 def for militia... like it ''infects'' so much. Only the rushing, maybe learn2play without rushing and you'd actually like it.

actually if you read up forum, someone else used realistic, (blitz is realistic it is strong on offensive but weak on defence), i answered if this game were on realism than blitz should get many more buffs i told in previous post, and as well provided ss as proof. you know the nerf because of someone's private crying is unfair, demands of at war players is more important than demands of 1 single person
and is calling other player noob best you could come up with ?
i can actually call you same pd noob and learn 2 counter blitz, but you instead chose nerfing it
