I just read about Skenderbey few days ago, wanted to remember what i learned about him on faculty long ago. What a man he was, 2m tall, strong, smart. He finished first in his class in janissary school, and janissary is school was tougher than spartan, as spartan school only taught you physical strength and tactics, janissary school taught languages (turcic, arab, persian and serbian), science, literature, religion.

When he learned everything from the Turkish Empire, he returned to Serbia, to his father's castle Kroya(today Krujë) and liberated it from the Turks, he had around 3,000 volunteers, all farmers. Turks sent armies of 20-30,000 few times to defeat Skenderbey, but they always failed, then fed up Sultan sent all his army, 150,000 strong, light akinci cavalry, heavy yaya infantry, light azab infantry, heavy spahi cavalry, cannons, raiders, slave drovers, horses, camels, they even had lions and panthers. And they still failed to capture Skenderbey.

This is a sobering history lesson, that numbers and technology cannot defeat simply 'barbarian' peasants. Just like Americans in Vietnam or Soviets in Afghanistan. People get weak and soft in their cities, while people in nature stay, well, natural, strong. Skender soldiers slep in the woods, on the rock instead pillow, covered with fur instead silk, they were comfortable in their enviroment, never hungry, never cold, never tired, while invading army - made of townfolks needed supplies, food, fresh water, entering unkwnown territory, not a clue where they are, always tired, bad sleep or none due to night raids from the Skender.

That's why i put Serbs in top 5 best soldiers, among Vietnamese, Pashtuns(Afghans), Russians and Finnish, natural born fighters.

anyway, skenderbeu was one of albanian princ taken away from turks during the war, he soon became one of the best turkish generals leading important campaigns in egypt ect. he was well known in ottoman empire and even the sultan had big respect for him. when he was sent by the sultan to fight huniad of hungary he deserted the army alongside with his 300 albanian soldiers and came back to ALBANIA,to unite all princes later on and set albania free of turkey. the sultans sent 2 bif armies to fight him, first one was around 100,000 turkish vs 20,000 albanians where albania won and secknd was 150,000 turkish vs 25,000 albanians where we won again. for 25 years albania was the only balkan country who was free of turks.

When skenderbeu tried to join huniad kf hungary to fight kebabs, he wasnt allowed to pass through serbian territory by the serbian king since serbs were allied with turks so he had no choise but to return back and fyi huniad lost that battle.

skenderbeu is ranked at one of the most elite wise and string generals of all time. it is said his sword was so heavy that 2 mens couldnt lift it. his sword armor and helmet are located in austrian museum.
there is no where in the infinite world of internet saying skenderbeu had another nationality exept for albanian exept for in aw forums where physically sick people like tito and villagers cow milkers like cive are. it would take for an ultra stupid nationalist to call albanian terrotory or albanian hero as an serb.

This is sweet, but you have to understand that borders weren't the same 500 years ago and some countries didn't exist. Todays northern Albania was in south Serbia and southern Albania was in Greece (Byzantine Empire), Albanian people started to arrive in Europe in that time, via Anatolia from Caucasia (Azerbaijan)



Lands of todays Albania was in that time populated by Illyrians, Greeks, Serbs and Cincars. But Greeks and Serbs assimialted them because they were the largest and most organized group of people.

So how can a Serbian from that time be Albanian when there were no Albanians yet, they were still traveling through Anatolia and Rumelia, still not settled in Epirus. And even if they settled already, why would they fight Turks when they were allies, and they arrived on Turkish request? Doesn't make sense.

Also, Skender grandfather was Serb military officer in Imperial Serbian Army, and Serbian Emperor rewarded him land, Skender brothers and sisters all had Serbian names and Serbian religion, so where is the proof he was Albanian? I understand that new countries crave for history and identity, but why stealing foreign, why not create your own, unique and original?







Serbian names, christian religion, definitely can't be Albanian. Even Skenderbey is turkish language and mean 'Lord Alexander', and Alexander is greek name, not Albanian. He was called that way because he was talented in school, like Great Alexander.

Not only slavs, Dacians/Romanians are strong as well. They are one of the rare natives of Europe, unlike migrants Germans and Slavs.

Dacians genetic is strong due to connection to local climate, but little usurped by gypsy/romani blood (migrants from India). Romania still have 600,000 (registered) gypsies today.

Sieges of Kruje are (surprisingly) sieges, not battles. Albania didn't "beat" the Turks in the first siege, sure, the Turks retreated after failing to take the fortress, but it wasn't a battle. In the second siege your numbers are grossly overstated, the most insane sources state 100,000 troops, not 150,000, and even that is propably overglorification by historians of the time. In the end, his campaigns had little consequence to the political, military and diplomatic situation in the Balkans at the time. It wasn't the only independent Balkan state either, Zeta was independent and Croatia was partially independent under the Hungarians. And while yes Skenderbeu was truly Albanian, no doubt about that, it is more often that I see Albanians claiming credit for arguably the man who came closest to destroying Rome than I see others claiming the legacy of an Albanian hero.

Its quite interesting, the whole thing about king Tomislav being a myth came from a satirical croatian website and no surprise serbs bought it as a stone cold fact.......they still do which is worrying.

I'm just following historical documents, we don't falsify history like newly created nations, or destroy statues of countries that doesn't exist anymore. We respect history and will never try to use it to suit our modern political goals like your 'kind' is doing.



Here's a document from Austria Hungary where they view Slovenians and Croats as Serbian subgroup while other name for Serbians is Illyrians.

Members of the Tribe of Gad, some of them, went for Balkan after Jews left Egypt, and they settled Epirus and Dalmatia, their leader was called Illyris and soon whole group started to call themselves that way because they were far away from their original tribe which already settled in Canaan and created Israel. when Slavs arrived on Balkan, largest group of them, the Serbs, mixed with Illyrians, but because of the numbers, Serbian culture and (greek christian) religion prevailed. Therefore, Austria-Hungary acknowledged them as Serbian-Illyrians.

But you keep changing your history and imagine some events, you can dream, but unfortunately that will change your identity to the point you won't know who you are, and your children, thus being vulnerable to new ideas, like the one you hate, liberalism, homosexuality, atheism, terrorism, nazsm.

Because great powers used them for their wars and most of them were part of those great powers, so in order to keep them divided, they invented their history, origin and religion. Now it is impossible to reverse that, those empires died but their ideology still lives.

That's why we in Russia still have Lenin statues in every city, still didn't destroy red stars hanging on our medieval towers, because that's history now, and should not be destroyed if we want to survive as civlization. Only barbarians destroy history, like Estonia who burned all books they have from USSR so their people forget their past, or Ukraine which destroy Lenin statues and rename all city streets after WW2 nazis. Tough question... would you consider facts to be a fairytale? Can a fact be real? I think facts exist out there, in the wild and exciting nature, but people have corrupted them because they are either unable to understand/represent them or because our systems are flawed and won't check them as they should... so even if they exist, it's impossible to tell for sure
