What was AtWar's Greatest Era?

Idk about single best year but id say 2014-2017 was kinda like a golden age with both many scenarios , ppl and competitive games

i remember in 2017 that guy vlad would make youtube video under de bellorum simulations or smth like that and do "what if x and y went to war" and show rp sim on some NWE style map. shit was so much fun and i saw in description the link to the game so i signed up asap. wonder how much money vlad and sun made from their ref links xd

I think 2014 and 2015 were probably the most popular in terms of people creating new maps, interacting in the forums and playing everything from competitive, scenarios, RP... etc. Covid we had loads of people too but that didn't really affect anything besides beginner lobby.

For me, the period from 2014 to early 2015, when I first started playing, was the most engaging. The game was particularly interesting during that time, as new experiences often are in life.
As for later, game is pretty much the same with more or less activity depending on time of year and other factors. I haven't really played it much during covid.
Objectively, 2014, 2015 and early 2016 were the most active.

2014 for sure. You would log in and there were games waiting for you. WW2, Colonials, Napoleonic Wars, everything you could possibly imagine and more! Professor Adog was still creating maps, and Aetius and Pyrrhus launched WW1. Best year ever.

2020~2021 was the peak of atWar

20 CW season era. Nothing like going 19-1 and then just sitting pretty

I never post here and I only come here once in a blue moon but the best era was 2014-2016. Tons of people playing, a match for everybody.

The Best Era was in 2020-2021. There were graduations scenario retention, and new atwar infighting(which is good).. I feel that 2020 was the best year because all the best players still check in with ATWARGAME.

nah bro, 2014 to 2017 was by far the best, the game was so active, you had 5 or 6 scenarios played at once in lobby, bunch of rps and clan wars too, so much more active
