You will have to ask the mods, as it is their job to interpret the rules and enforce them as they think is best for the game.

no no no no no, you can not say that atwar runs on a good government where the mods make the rules, then interpret the rules then execute the rules, if mods do not make the rules clear they can not interpret it to their advantage, since they have total control over the rules they should just simply make clear statements and not leave it for interpretation because I will find any loophole they leave

Define me a personal reason? Me being an asshole is not justifiable ...but if someone tells me "fuck off you retarded piece of fuckin shit i hope your mother dies from fuckin cancer you fuckin idiot!!!!!" I ...have to let this person, play on the fruits of my hard work? Who gave this person rights to insult me and enjoy my work? I want that in the rules aswell, rules that mods didnt give, but insulted everyone with pathetic 23. that they made ...when Columna said they are working on rules i thougth they will give us rules too follow. What we got is: "fuck you, we made a rule that give us the ability to decide what the rule is". ...and first sentence "map makers can ban anyone bla bla ..." should make it fine. Dont make me laugh.

Ofc, if the issue you're talking about is non-sense, as admin I'd ask you to gtfo politely. If we're talking about mods not doing their job properly and having provided solid evidence, then admins would take your words seriously. If it were true that mods were biased, you would have done plenty more than you've been doing untill now about it, and you would have proofs as well. Each time that you guys talk I seem to have clearer that you've got the "power" flu. Anyhow, the only persons to give you such power are admins and as far as I see... they dont give a shit about you. They must have their reasons for sure though...

What if he joined your map just to insult that map and yourself? Wouldn't that be a fair enough ban? He's actually affecting the game in a negative way and being disrespectful on purpose against the map maker.

quoting rule 23
If you are insulted, that's an offense and you should screenshot it and report it to the mods. IMO this whole problem would be averted if there were Terms of Service to be accepted when publishing a map. The consensus with user created content on games is that the content's rights are usually given to the game when the content is published. The banlist rules were made on the basis that the map you create, once published, ceases to be yours and becomes AW's content, therefore we should seek that the playerbase has access to it. If it were up to me, banlists wouldn't even exist or in a very limited manner (i.e. banning people from games you host).

That's a perfectly good reason for adding the player to your personal ban list, screen shot the insult and report to the mods.

You'd be able to remove your maps from the game if you don't agree with the changes. I'm not saying they'll come, but it's something that would be useful. Remember: ban list is not a right it's a privilege. How can you possibly not understand rule #23 though. It's simple: you can't ban someone from your maps for personal reasons or if you don't supply a reason. That's it. That's all there is to it.

What reason? where did you give us a list of justifiable reasons? ...what is it you dont understand? I dont want you to tell me and decide what does reasons might be ...i want an exact rule that i can follow on. And define me a personal reason? ...see, your rules are so wide and open for looking at them as anyone see fit that we can discuss over and over whenever a new shit comes up or a new appeal.

this ^^. I have never encountered a game before where published player created content belonged to the player. Not to the extent where finding their content is popular they can withdraw it and make demands. A terms of service as described should be introduced, itll ruffle some feathers initially and might cause some maps to get pulled down in rage. However over the long run it would prevent a lot of drama.

youd be surprised. I played age of empires before, there custom maps were editable by anyone. Someone could publish a new scenario and theyd get credited with it but if they took it down someone else would simply republish it. As it were many versions of the same map would appear if it gained popularity. On evony which i used to play and i know skitz plays, the terms of service you accepted when you made an account made it so anything you bought with your own real money belonged to the company. Legally you had very little rights if anything happened to the goods/services you were buying. And people were dropping several thousand dollars/euros on that game, so much so that a blackmarket developed and still thrives within the game. You guys have it so good here, and here you are demanding more rights, rights which are being and will be abused. I believe you have good intentions tunder, but many of the other mapmakers, like adog for example, i do not.
nobody is disrespecting the mapmakers. I have great respect for the works of tiktok, tunder and a handful of others. You can see the time and effort put into making their maps. Anyone with any comprehension of how the mapmaking process on aw works couldnt not respect them. The maps are accredited in their name, that should be enough. However the ability to make a good/popular map shouldnt give a player the rights to strongarm the admins and the mods to acquiesce to their wishes. Its gonna cause problems, someone of questionable character throwing their weight around because they control the distribution of a popular map. i know my opinion will be an unpopular one but just putting it out there.

Im seriously geting pissed about mods not answering me on why it took them few days to come up with pathetic rule instead of making it clear without the need for anyone to question anything. Bad job. And no answer to me on why should i be forced to allow someone who bashes my map to play on it (nothing personal, just business). And i have to say, people who cry to be unbaned from a map they bashed or map maker they insulted are pathetic ...i would be ashamed if i played on a map of a person i insulted.

thats a bit dramatic... I supported the previous mapmakers strike, it was well intentioned and demanded an issue that needed adressing be noticed. However what you guys seek now is the ability to ban players on your own personal whims. for example "i dont like this guy cause hes asian, banned" "i dont like this guy cause hes friends with an asian, banned" While you or goblin may not pull this kind of thing, others will.
