At the light of numerous threads being moved to off-topic, and as a fan of the consistency as I am, I've decide to post how are the forums looked from different perspective. I can't stand anymore the inconsistencies and incertitude when making a new thread or moving it to another location. Forums are meant to be one, and their interpretation should'be reduced to avoid discrepancy as much as possible. I am going to name two of the most controversial forums, which are the General Forum and Off-topic forums. We all know that the general forum have a bigger traffic than any other sub-forum and trust, is more viewed. At the same time we know that the off-topic forum is not the most inactive but also not the most healthy of the forum (Says: lots of non-nice threads such as politics hate racism etc are discussed here by the also non-more healthy players). General Forum According to admins: According to the biggest part of the players: "Anything as long as it is related to atWar in any way". According to Meester, brianwl and e Mare (since those three are the only three mods who actually enforce partially or totally those rules): http://atwar-game.com/forum/topic.php?topic_id=21484 According to the rest of the mods and some other players: "Organization of events (or the event itself) and threads that serves to information or discussion between the community" (notice unlike above there is no limitation in what you can post, and mostly is interpreted by the player that sees the thread, whenever it fits into this or not). Off-topic Forum According to admins and the biggest part of the players: According to the biggest part of the mods: "Anything not related to atWar or that directly or indirectly can be interpreted as a critic to moderators". http://atwar-game.com/forum/topic.php?topic_id=19833 According to some few mods: "Garbage forum. Thrown here anything that is not related to atWar, or that directly or indirectly can be interpreted as a critic to moderators, anything that fits the theme of a cry thread, a thread that contains a topic that you think doesn't deserves attention or simply any thread that you don't like." This thread is not intended to criticize any side, just to point out the discrepancies. The first step to resolve a problem is to recognize that the problem actually exist.
