Islam is a set of ideas, (in my opinion mostly bad ones but that's not really important). All you need to know is that in the civilized world, all IDEAS are subject to criticism.

Gay people are not ideas, they are people. So yes, saying people should be murdered is totally different from making fun of your stupid opinions.
