I was tempted for Bristol but I think London just has the most to offer

you been to leeds ?

liverpool = friendly inhabitants / river frontage interesting.
manchester = largest collection of water colours in uk / highest rate of bicycle theft in world / 2 quite decent football teams.
london = most entertainment to offer + few 1/2 decent football teams.
birmingham = friendly inhabitants / interesting architecture / sprawling.
brighton = clean / lots of alternative lifestyle / beach + pier.
edinburgh = friendly inhabitants / architecture / seriously scaled down & redirected "military" tattoo.
glasgow = friendly inhabitants / lively / no more macintosh school of art !
cornwall = the most southwestern mainland county of england / capital of which small ( as most cornish villages etc) picturesque.
plymouth = excellant gin producers / long time military + merchant naval city.

all have their merits / demerits = depends what one considers to be +'s / -'s.
i vote county of cornwall = low population / history / coastline / peace + but don't want to bore more.

Yea iv been to all these places, Leeds has just as much to offer as Manchester and Liverpool. You missed off Norwich, Bristol, Newcastle, Leeds, Cantebury, Belfast, Cardiff, Durham, York, Oxford, Cambridge, Southamlton, Sheffield, Nottingham, but decided to put in cornwall which is a county and not a city, then leaving out yorkshire dales, lake district, peak district, south downs. As I say your poll is cancer and judging from it you havnt even been to the UK, let alone spent any considerable time in any of those places
BTW iv lived in brighton for 14 years and it is not clean..
Everywhwre has both friendly nd unfriendly inhabitants

eh i have not missed off anywhere not on someone elses list !
in an effort to keep things succinct friendly = my personal experience with many criteria
( = a few / not being directed in wrong direction / ignored when need help / people willing to give their time with a smile + multitude of other positives ).
if you take such umbridge at my Personal reasoning then maybe you need to assess your perpective of what quantifies being of worth.
shall not bore you with a list of cities i've been to / lived in on british isles.

yea fair enough was in a bad mood when i qrote that, just butthurt you left out newcastle with the best nightlife in the world, never mind the uk

MANCHESTER hands down. Soo much versatility, the party life is insane,The women are good,Food for all needs. History. And the best of all i live here.

Also good mix of country and city. We are on a big boom

n p & agree regarding nightlife ;=)

Jfreders.
council are removing more mature trees on flimsyiest excuses than they ever replace !
also willing to remove interior of grade listed buildings on grounds they consider only the exteriors to be listed !
as for mix of "country & city" greenbelt does not exist within manchesters council reach.
"Soo much versatility" - do you mean variety ? 2k of history ( stratigic strongpoint for romans ).
